How does scanning work?
On the Capture page, record a slow pan across your fridge and pantry. We grab a few frames and use AI vision to identify the ingredients, then let you review and add them to your pantry.
Why were some ingredients missed or wrong?
Detection depends on lighting and how clearly items are visible. Move a little slower, get closer to packed shelves, and make sure labels face the camera. You can always add or remove items manually on the Pantry page.
How are recipe ideas generated?
Recipes are suggested from what is currently in your pantry, prioritizing meals you can make with the fewest missing ingredients. Save the ones you like — they stay in your account.
Can I connect an AI assistant?
Yes. ScanStock.ai exposes a secure MCP server so assistants like Claude can read and manage your pantry and recipes. See the Docs page for setup and the full tool reference.
Is my data private?
Your pantry and recipes are tied to your account and only accessible to you. Connected AI assistants use scoped access that you can revoke at any time from the Settings page.
